Kiyomizu-dera Temple (きよみずでら) is one of the most representative temples in Kyoto, Japan, and is also part of the World Cultural Heritage "Cultural Properties of Ancient Kyoto". It not only has spectacular architecture and natural scenery, but also combines history, faith and culture, making it well worth a visit. Transportation: Take a bus from Kyoto Station to Gojozaka or Kiyomizu-michi, then walk for about 10 to 15 minutes (there are busy shopping streets along the way). Tips: There are fewer people in the morning, so it is more comfortable to take pictures. The snow scenery is also beautiful in winter, but be careful of the slippery roads. Kiyomizu-dera Temple has undergone renovations in recent years (partially completed), making the building more beautiful. In addition to temples, food is definitely the highlight of your trip to Kyoto! Yatsu Bridge (やつはし) • Type: Traditional Kyoto confectionery • Recommended reason: There are many Yatsubashi specialty stores on Shimizuzaka and Sannenzaka where you can try the food. There are two versions: raw Yatsubashi (like mochi) and baked. • Flavors: Classic cinnamon, matcha, strawberry, seasonal flavors ⸻ 2. Akoya Tea House (あこやちゃや) • Type: Japanese all-you-can-eat snack • Features: Serving all-you-can-eat traditional Kyoto home-cooked meals and white rice (plus pickles and soup) in an antique setting. • Recommended for: People who have been walking all day and want to sit down and have a good meal ⸻ 4. % ARABICA Kyoto Higashiyama Store • Type: Cafe • Reason for recommendation: A pilgrimage site for internet celebrities, with excellent coffee quality. Special latte art + Kyoto old street scenery, looks good no matter how you take pictures. • Location: Near Yasaka Pagoda, a good place to take a break during a walk ⸻ 6. Nishiki Market (a little further away, but totally worth it) • A little far from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but you can take a bus there • It is the "kitchen" of Kyoto, with many snacks: fried skewers, soy milk donuts, octopus balls, matcha crepes...
