A golden Temple of dreams

Temple of the golden pavilion, Rokuon-ji Kyoto One of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen, this golden temple is a must see if you’re in the area. It’s a very popular site with tourists and one of the 100 most religious buildings in the world. Set in stunning gardens the temple is in the middle of a lake, set with small islands and bonsai trees. There is a $3 entrance free but it’s worth it, you follow a guided path around the lake and through some of the smaller temple attractions. There are toilets and gift shops along the way and plenty of places for photos.
