Kurama Temple and Kurama Tengu on the Kyoto Eizan Railway Line

Take the Eizan Railway from Kibuneguchi Station to Kurama Station, which takes about 5 minutes and costs about 210 yen. The trams on this route sometimes have scenic trains with seats facing directly out the windows, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery, such as cherry blossoms in the spring and maple leaves in the fall. The most distinctive and well-known thing about Kurama Temple is the Tengu statue, with a long Tengu nose. You must have seen this shape when watching Japanese dramas and animations. Be sure to check it out! The more classic route is to take the train to Kurama Station first, visit the Kurama Temple area first, and then walk down to the Kifune Shrine. Because it rained that day, we took the sightseeing tram for a more comfortable ride. I took the subway and bus to visit Kifune Shrine, had lunch at Hirofumi noodles, and then took the Eizan Railway to Kurama Station.
