Compared to the bamboo forest path in Arashiyama, the bamboo forest at Kodaiji Temple is a relatively relaxing place to stroll through. It's even more beautiful when it's lit up. I especially miss this place in the summer, seeking a soothing space with a crisp air. Kodaiji Temple is said to be where Nene spent her time after Hideyoshi's death, and many of the views she saw remain to this day, making it popular with many tourists. If you're visiting Kyoto, it would be a shame to miss Kodaiji Temple.
