The shrine area marks the northernmost limit of the natural habitat for tropical and subtropical plants like sago palms. In front of the shrine, breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean stretch out. Founded in 708 (Wado 1st year), Misaki Shrine is an ancient shrine known for blessings in maritime safety, voyage safety, and matchmaking. It has long watched over the safety of ships navigating the challenging waters off Cape Toi.
