Visit Xiema Bridge and experience the slow life.

Xiemaqiao is an ancient village under Qiandeng Town, Kunshan. The ancient village is about 500 meters along the river. From the ancient stone pavement on the old street, it seems to still show the prosperity of the past. The old street is lined with two-story houses, many of which have now become teahouses with melodious Pingtan and Kunqu opera performances or cafes for leisure along the river. It is said that the ancient village was named after Han Shizhong, a famous general in the Southern Song Dynasty who fought against the Jin Dynasty, who trained his horses and rested his horses there. It has a history of thousands of years. Although the ancient village is not too big, strolling through the alleys is like walking into a simple and beautiful painting of the Jiangnan region, with small bridges, flowing water, clear water, and a red memorial hall. Xiema Village is not far from Qiandeng Exit of Shanghai-Changzhou Expressway. The ancient village is still undergoing upgrading and renovation, and it is now a quiet place to stroll around with few people.
