Kumamoto Castle: A Springtime Sakura Spectacle

With approximately 800 cherry trees, including varieties like Somei Yoshino, Yamazakura, and the region-specific Chiharazakura, the castle grounds become a vibrant pink wonderland, attracting visitors from around the world.   The best time to witness this floral display is typically from late March to early April. In 2025, the peak bloom is forecasted around April 3.
