Breathtaking views at Sunlight Rock- Gulangyu

Sunlight Rock is one of the monuments on Gulangyu Island, and can immediately be seen as you approach the island by boat. It the tallest mountain on the island, and one can climb the steps to the top, to have a 360° view of Gulangyu and Xiamen. The setting is beautiful for photos, specifically at sunset. During weekends and public holidays, it may be a little bit crowded to go to the top, so I would suggest going early, to avoid the traffic. To get there, you would have to board a ferry at the Xiamen shipping wharf, to Gulangyu. Then you have to walk to the entrance gates of Sunlight rock (no cars on Gulangyu), using a map.
