Exploring Oceans and Architecture at the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia

#summervacay On the second day of my summer trip to Kuala Lumpur, I spent the afternoon at the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia—an unforgettable experience. The museum currently features a special gallery titled “Oceans That Speak,” which showcases stunning Islamic art and artifacts related to maritime history and culture. I was captivated by the elegant dome-shaped interior, detailed with beautiful Islamic design elements. The exhibit was not only educational but also incredibly photogenic—definitely an Insta-worthy spot. One highlight was catching a clear view of the towering Merdeka 118 through the museum’s windows, adding a modern contrast to the cultural setting. The museum masterfully blends history, art, and architecture, making it a must-visit in KL. This visit left me inspired and more appreciative of the deep connection between Islamic heritage and the sea.
