9-Day Malaysia Travel Guide

🕐️DAY 1: Arrive in Kuala Lumpur. Stay at a hotel near the Petronas Towers, and take a tour of the surrounding area in the afternoon. 🕐️DAY 2-3: Visit various venues and streets. (It would be best to spend a day in Malacca. I did some research, but my family didn't want to go, so we didn't.) 🕐️DAY 4: Fly from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu in the morning. Book an airport transfer in advance, and take a car and then a boat to Perhentian Island. 🕐️DAY 5-9: Stay on Perhentian Kecil for 5 nights. Snorkel on the hotel beach every day and see all kinds of fish. The pool is a great temperature, and swimming is super comfortable. Adults can work out, do yoga, or go to the spa. There are also areas for kids to play, and teens can play computer games. I'm timid and lazy, so I didn't go on any island-hopping tours, but just staying at the hotel was not boring at all. 🕐️DAY 10: Leave the hotel in the morning, take a boat and then a car to Kuala Lumpur Airport, and fly home. ⛱️Must-see attractions: Petronas Towers, mosques, museums, art galleries, hotel pools, beaches, and Long Beach on Perhentian Island. 🏨Accommodation recommendations: InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, Marriott Perhentian Island Resort 💰️Total cost: CNY 18,000 (3 people) Flights: CNY 7,200 + CNY 1,300 Hotels: CNY 2,700 + CNY 5,200 Daily expenses: CNY 3,600 💡Other tips: 1. Use high SPF waterproof sunscreen on the islands. The UV rays are stronger than in Hainan and Thailand. 2. There are a lot of Indian restaurants. If you're picky about taste and hygiene, choose a high-end restaurant. If you just want to fill up, go to FamilyMart or 7-Eleven. 3. Register on the official website in advance. Entering and leaving the country is very convenient, so there's no need to worry. 4. Confirm the hotel ferry times in advance, and try to choose flights accordingly. Otherwise, taking a small boat can be a bit exciting, and I didn't dare take any photos. 5. Exchange MYR in advance at the Bank of China or the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. MYR 500 per person is enough. Some stores accept Alipay, UnionPay, or Visa. Overall, costs are higher than in Thailand but lower than in Hainan. It's worth a second visit. 6. The duty-free shop at Kuala Lumpur Airport is small, and half an hour is enough to see everything. Dior discounts are average, Chanel bestsellers are out of stock, and SK-II is not a good deal. Overall, there are fewer discounts than at CDFG in Hainan.
