Thean Hou Temple, also known as the Temple of the Goddess of the Sea, is a Chinese temple believed to protect fishermen. It is one of the oldest and largest temples in Southeast Asia. The main building is six stories high and is located on Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thean Hou Temple was built with funds raised by the Hainanese Association of Selangor. Construction took place between 1981 and 1987, costing 7 million ringgit.
