As the 1st recreational park in Kuala Lumpur, Taman Botanical Garden has been a wonderful place for families to visit during the weekend or holiday time!!
Other than the instagrammable design, it comes with small waterfall, children playground, fountain, herb farm, flower gardens, rusa park that you will definitely spend more than 2-3 hours walking around!!!
In the evening, this is even a good place to picnic or do the kayaking in the small lake in front of the mini mart without any additional charge!!
Reminder:
- Do have mentally preparation that it will be very packed and crowded in the weekend! Will need to spend some time to get a parking lot.

🇲🇾 Wellness Spa at Shangrila KL
#hospitality #100WaysOfTravel
So far for all the Shangrila hotels which I have visited have free access to their wellness spa. It is always located at their Spa and Wellness Health club and all hotel guests can access for free. Without a doubt, I have visited the health club at Shangrila KL and it is a super nice place. It is also connected to the exercise gym and they provide everything I need. The reception also offer me discounts for their spa treatments but I did not accept. I only want to enjoy their hot jacuzzi and go out for an early dinner. Inside the health club, there are 2 jacuzzi and it can comfortably fit 6 persons. Great hospitality at Shangrila KL.

This botanical garden that constructed in 1888 is located near to the Kuala Lumpur station and I would say this is the proud of Malaysian as it contains largest collection of flowers in the city centre.
If you are a flower lover, this is the place for you and even in a hustle city, you can even enjoy its tranquility without travelling to the suburban areas. Highlights here, they are even having the orchid and hibiscus garden specifically inside the spot.
Orchid in the house 💐

#100waysoftravel #kualalumpur #garden #malaysia
The Orchid Garden is located opposite the KL Bird Park within the scenic KL Lake Gardens. Coming to this spot, it just take approximately 10 minutes drive from the hectic city centre!!!
Not a person who knows flowers very well so i am not able to differentiate the types and the species. However, pictures speak thousand words, plenties of orchids’s here and it has purple, white and mix colours making it a beautiful garden to explore with.
Highly recommend to visit in the evening as you will need to do hiking a little bit from the parking lot or the weather is crazily hot.
Kuala Lumpur Petaling Street: A Shopping Paradise with a Strong Chinese Flair
Kuala Lumpur's Petaling Street is a famous shopping street known for its rich Chinese atmosphere, making you feel like you've stepped into a living traditional Chinese street. Red lanterns and ornate Chinese knots hang on both sides of the street, and the air is filled with the aroma of various snacks. The architectural style here also retains a strong Chinese character, giving you a sense of traveling back in time to the last century. Petaling Street is not only a shopping haven for tourists but also an important symbol of local Chinese culture.
👍Kim Lian Kee: A Symbol of Traditional Flavors
When you come to Petaling Street, you must mention the well-known "Kim Lian Kee" roast meat shop. This long-established store has a long history and is famous for its roast duck and char siu. During meal times, there is always a long queue. The roast meat at Kim Lian Kee is not only tender and crispy but also has a unique sauce that leaves a lasting impression. Many foodies even come to Petaling Street specifically to taste this authentic traditional delicacy. Whether for lunch or dinner, Kim Lian Kee's roast meat will leave you satisfied.
🔔Fake Goods Vendors: A Call to Support Genuine Products
Petaling Street is also known for selling "fake goods." Vendors here often display various counterfeit brand-name products, from bags and watches to clothing and shoes. Although the prices are cheap and the quality is not too bad, it is important to remind everyone that supporting genuine products promotes a healthy consumer environment and fair market competition. Buying genuine products not only respects brand creativity but also ensures the quality of your purchases.
🚩Nearby Central Market: A Perfect Blend of Art and Shopping
Besides Petaling Street, the nearby Central Market is also a must-visit shopping destination. It is filled with local Malaysian handicrafts and artworks, from wood carvings and fabrics to handmade jewelry. The atmosphere at Central Market is completely different from Petaling Street, being more elegant and artistic. When you're tired of shopping, you can enjoy a cup of coffee at a small café here and leisurely appreciate the artworks. If you want to bring back special souvenirs for family or friends, this is definitely your best choice.
📍Conclusion
Kuala Lumpur's Petaling Street, whether it's the Chinese-style street scene, the delicious roast meat at Kim Lian Kee, or the challenging shopping experience, is a highlight that tourists should not miss. At the same time, the nearby Central Market is also a great place full of artistic atmosphere. Coming here, you can not only experience the blend of diverse cultures in Kuala Lumpur but also discover the charm of Malaysian Chinese culture. Don't forget to include Petaling Street in your itinerary for your next trip; the surprises here will far exceed your expectations!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is perfect for city walks.
If you're planning a trip during a long holiday, I would definitely recommend Malaysia. Especially for those in the Greater Bay Area, there are daily flights to and from Kuala Lumpur from Shenzhen, which is super convenient.
I took a direct flight from Shenzhen to Kuala Lumpur with Shenzhen Airlines and started my city walk as soon as I landed. I have to say, Kuala Lumpur is perfect for city walks. Here are some places I recommend.
Petronas Twin Towers. This is the national symbol of Malaysia. The twin towers are 452 meters high and have 88 floors above ground. They were once the tallest buildings in the world and are still the tallest twin towers in the world. They are worth visiting both during the day and at night. The best place to take photos is the zebra crossing on the opposite side of the road.
Bukit Bintang, also known as Star Avenue. The iconic intersection is particularly popular among young people, and there are always tourists coming to take photos. There are various shopping malls and tall buildings, as well as cute "caterpillar cars", i.e., monorail trains.
Jalan Alor Street Art. Jalan Alor is very prosperous, but on the walls of the back streets and alleys of this downtown area, there are murals. They not only beautify the city of Kuala Lumpur, but also fill it with an artistic atmosphere.
Kuala Lumpur SS2 Night Market. Of course, you have to visit a local night market when you come to Kuala Lumpur. SS2 Night Market is one of my favorite night markets. In addition to various small shops, I highly recommend the durian market here. Just walk into any shop, and you'll find a dazzling array of durians, including Black Thorn, Old Tree Musang King, Five Finger Fruit, D24, XO, etc. They all taste delicious!
Penang Road Food Street: A Cultural and Visual Feast for the Senses
Penang, known as a food paradise, has Penang Road as one of its must-visit food streets for tourists. On this trip, I was excited to taste the most representative local delicacies—Cendol, Assam Laksa, Oyster Omelette, and Roti. The experience was not just about the food, but also about Penang's rich culture and stories.
🎉 A Visual and Taste Sensation—The Famous Cendol
Walking into Penang Road, the famous Cendol stall immediately catches the eye, with a mural beside it that attracts countless tourists to take photos. The mural depicts a group of local children enjoying Cendol under a tree, as if time has stopped in that carefree childhood moment. This painting not only adds color to the street but also gives this refreshing dessert more cultural significance.
Cendol itself is one of the must-try foods in Penang. The cool coconut milk, combined with green jelly noodles, red beans, and palm sugar syrup, perfectly blends together. Each bite lets you feel the warmth and leisure of Penang. This bowl of dessert is undoubtedly a treat in the hot weather, and that cool, sweet moment instantly dispels the fatigue of the journey.
👍 A Burst of Flavors—Assam Laksa
If Cendol represents coolness, then Assam Laksa is a storm of sour and spicy flavors. Standing in front of the stall, the rich aroma of fish soup fills the air, instantly whetting the appetite. The soul of Assam Laksa lies in its rich fish soup, mixed with the sourness of tamarind and various spices, making it sour, spicy, and delicious without being greasy.
This bowl of Laksa is not only rich in flavor but also in ingredients: thick rice noodles, cucumber strips, onions, mint leaves, etc., all combined with the soup base, creating a multi-layered and impactful taste. Each bite feels like a conversation with your taste buds, with the intertwining of sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy flavors telling the story of Penang's multicultural fusion.
🚩 The Ultimate Seafood Delight—Oyster Omelette
The Oyster Omelette stall on Penang Road is always crowded, with the sizzling sound of the frying pan mixed with the aroma of oysters and garlic, making mouths water. The vendor skillfully fries fresh oysters with egg batter until golden brown, with a crispy exterior while retaining the oysters' tender and juicy interior.
Each bite of the Oyster Omelette is filled with the fresh taste of seafood, and when paired with a special garlic chili sauce, the flavor instantly elevates. Tasting it feels like the taste of the sea is dancing on your tongue, making it irresistible. This is not just a snack but the essence of the sea's bounty.
📍 Simple Yet Nostalgic—The Warmth of Roti
Finally, I tasted the Roti, which can be found everywhere on the streets of Penang. This seemingly simple pancake is one of Penang's most ordinary yet nostalgic delicacies. The dough is fried until slightly charred, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, then spread with a layer of butter or served with curry. Simple yet full of warmth. Each bite of Roti carries the taste of home, evoking memories of those warm times.
Penang's Roti is not just a simple food; it is a reflection of Penang's unique lifestyle. Whether at a morning street stall or a night roadside shop, Roti always accompanies the local pace of life.
🚩 Conclusion
The food on Penang Road is not just a treat for the taste buds but also a profound experience of Penang's culture. Each dish carries rich history and stories, making you feel immersed in this vibrant city. Whether you are a food lover or a cultural explorer, Penang Road's food street will leave you with unforgettable memories and emotions.

Malaysia Kuala Lumpur | Pudu Plaza Also Good Bak Kut Teh
Store Information
Store Name: Also Good Bak Kut Teh
Business Hours: 10:00 AM–10:00 PM (Closed on Mondays)
Address: 20, Jalan Landak, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
After watching the live show in the afternoon, we immediately took a Grab to try the Youtuber-recommended Also Good Bak Kut Teh. The location is actually a 10-minute walk from the ICC morning market, but since we were too full from having Ah Fook's stuffed tofu and rice rolls in the morning, we decided to come in the evening.
The shop is small with two floors. We chose to sit outside on the first floor to experience the local atmosphere of eating Bak Kut Teh in the alley. Having had Bak Kut Teh in Klang before, we ordered both the dry pot and the soup pot with hot tea. The service was quick, and the dishes were served promptly. The unique feature of this place is that they add pork intestines to the Bak Kut Teh. The pork intestines paired well with the soup, which also had plenty of tofu skin, making it very smooth. Both the dry and soup versions were milder compared to those in Klang, with a stronger herbal flavor. I noticed many locals also ordered fried dough sticks and pork trotters to go with their meal, but since we had other food plans later, we had to save our stomachs and didn't order them.
Overall, the service and food quality were good, and the location is convenient if you're visiting the morning market. I recommend trying it if you're in the area.

Unwinding at Kwai Chai Hong: My Favorite Night Out in Kuala Lumpur
#nightlife #100waysoftravel #kualalumpur
My favorite nightlife experience in Kuala Lumpur is heading to Kwai Chai Hong with my friends. The atmosphere there is lively yet relaxed, and we love exploring the area’s unique and vibrant bars. We usually pick a cozy spot, order our drinks, and settle in for the evening. The music adds the perfect backdrop to our night as we chat, laugh, and enjoy the atmosphere of these bars, each with its own character and charm. It’s the ideal place to unwind and spend the entire night in great company.

Kuala Lumpur 2-day tour, this is the most authentic way to play.
Hi~ buddies, come and share my two-day joyous exploration trip in Kuala Lumpur! 🌟
On the first morning, I went straight to the Twin Towers to feel the breath of the clouds. The elevator "swooshed" and took us to the observation deck, with the whole Kuala Lumpur in sight. At noon, I turned to the nearby and tasted Malaysian curry chicken and coconut milk rice, and the taste buds took off directly! In the afternoon, I went shopping in the Bayan Shopping Center, and the breath of history in the National Museum came to my face.
After dinner, I took a night tour of the Kuala Lumpur River, with brilliant lights on both sides, which was beautiful. On the second day, we first visited Independence Square and the monument to understand the historical context of Malaysia. Lunch continued to explore local delicacies, and every bite was a surprise! In the afternoon, I challenged the high-altitude walk of the Kuala Lumpur Tower, and in the evening, I went deep into the nightlife area to experience different enthusiasm.
Every trip is a new discovery. Kuala Lumpur not only has delicious food, but also endless scenery and endless fun. Buddies, do you have any destinations or interesting travel experiences that you are interested in? Come and share your travel anecdotes! 🧳✨

KIDS' PARADISE : RENAISSANCE HOTEL KL
#100waysoftravel
During the school holidays recently, we brought our kids for a short stay at Renaissance Hotel KL.
Major highlight : the newly opened kids' wet play area, offering endless fun and entertainment with the exciting bucket splash feature.
The kids had a fantastic time splashing around, running through the water jets and eagerly waiting for the giant bucket to tip over, showering everyone with water.
The only ownside was that the area closed a bit early at 7pm, which cut the fun short.
Despite that, the kids had a total blast and lots of fun.

Traveling in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The most impressive place
Petronas Twin Towers
🌟Highlights:
The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia are famous world architecture and a popular tourist attraction. They are also a landmark in Malaysia.
Since they were completed in 1998, they have been a city landmark. They were designed by the famous architect Cesar Pelli in the early 1990s. One tower is mainly used as an office for the Malaysian National Petroleum Corporation, and the other is a rented office building. The Twin Towers are 452 meters high and have 88 floors. They were the tallest buildings in the world at the time, but were surpassed by Taipei 101 in 2004.
When traveling in Malaysia, you can enjoy its tropical natural scenery and pleasant climate. Because there are Chinese people who speak Chinese everywhere in Malaysia, you don't have to worry about the embarrassment of not knowing a foreign language. You can meet people who can communicate in Chinese anywhere.
It is recommended to buy tickets for the Petronas Twin Towers in advance to avoid the situation of sold-out tickets. You can easily find the ticket purchase website online, or you can buy tickets on site.
To buy tickets on site, take a car or walk to the Petronas Twin Towers. When you see the sign "Petronas Twin Towers Visit", follow the sign. You can also find the Gucci counter. Walk about 50 meters to the right of the shop to reach the lobby. There are signs on the left and right sides of the lobby. Take the escalator down from the sign.
Non-Malaysians under 2 years old are free, 3-12 years old and over 61 years old are 50RM, and adults are 98RM. The price is moderate. You can also buy a hotel or other service package that includes tickets.
👍Most recommended: The best time to take photos is in the morning and after the lights are turned on at night
Practical 3-day, 2-night Kuala Lumpur travel guide.
I just got back from Malaysia and wanted to share my 3-day, 2-night travel guide for Kuala Lumpur.
1. Transportation: I flew from Shenzhen to Kuala Lumpur on Shenzhen Airlines, and also flew back on Shenzhen Airlines (from Penang to Shenzhen). The flight was about 4 hours and the free baggage allowance was 23 kg.
2. Internet: I have a China Mobile SIM card and activated international roaming. I bought a data package before I left (you can buy it on the China Mobile mini program or Alipay). It was CNY 28 per day for 3 GB of data. You can buy as many days as you need. It's buy one get one free, so it's more cost-effective if two people buy it together. We bought 6 days for two people, so it was CNY 64 per person. Incoming and outgoing calls were CNY 1 per minute.
Alternatively, you can buy a SIM card when you arrive in Kuala Lumpur. After you collect your luggage at the airport, turn left and there are a few kiosks selling SIM cards. The prices are similar. One of my friends bought a 65 GB data card for MYR 49. It was valid for 30 days and they helped us install the card.
3. Accommodation: We stayed in downtown Kuala Lumpur, near the Petronas Twin Towers. The location was convenient and there were shopping malls nearby. We stayed in two hotels (InterContinental and Wyndham Suites) and both were very good. The service was good, the bedding was comfortable, the rooms were spacious and bright, and they both had swimming pools and gyms. Breakfast was included and the staff spoke Chinese.
4. Attractions: We visited the Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur Tower, Pink Mosque, Central Market, Kwai Chai Hong, Petaling Street, Durian Market, etc. We also took the monorail. We mainly walked or took taxis. Remember to download the Grab taxi app and Google Maps.
5. Dining: There are many Chinese people in Kuala Lumpur, so there are many Chinese restaurants. You don't have to worry about food. However, the local food is a bit sweet, so people from some provinces might not be used to it. You can also try Malaysian food.
In addition, if you like durian, you're in luck in Kuala Lumpur. The durian here is cheap and delicious. You can really eat your fill. For example, the price of Musang King is about MYR 40-80 per kg. Some varieties are only about MYR 10 per kg.
6. Shopping: Our hotel was near Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. You can also go shopping at the duty-free shops at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The prices are better than in China.
7. Lastly: Remember to bring a light jacket when you travel to Malaysia, because the air conditioning in the malls, airports, and all indoor areas is very low.

Located in the bustling bar street of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, this is a restaurant that you can just sitting outside to watch a huge bunches of people passing by all the time as the connected bridge to KLCC is just few steps away.
Basically, it is serving Mediterranean foods but im not really a fan of it so just here to have a drink and enjoy the snacks while chit-chatting non-stop with my hubby. Entire environment is ok, outdoor seating is available but no ceiling fan for it so it’s gonna be hot a bit, indoor seating is not that hot but a little bit lack of design, however, the bar seating is nice where you can drink and enjoy the mixologist making drinks.

#100waysoftravel
There is this hidden abundance of Japanese food at the top level of Lot 10 Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur!
This is like a total different world from ground floor all the way up to the top. I think there are easily up to 20 restaurants and up to 100 menus offered here.
You may plan to have your whole day meal eating just here! Strongly recommended!

This place is actually a Chinese Library located in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. This is one of the famous spots in here because it is just within the parameter of Petaling Street.
There is even a Four Points Hotel KL just beside this library. Their operation hour is open until 5pm daily only, so remember to drop by earlier to pay a visit inside!

Never ever have I thought of visiting a local library over my 20+ years stay in Kuala Lumpur.
This library caught us in shock as this place is just next to Dataran Merdeka, easy and seamless registration process to borrow book process done digitally (self-service).
They also provide a small pantry area where food are provided, payment is to be through TouchNGo e-wallet!

Sultan Abdul Samad is a place that we have been wanting to step our foot onto for awhile, but usually there are events in this area and full of marquee, and definitely it will not be the right time for nice photo.
Finally we have time during weekday and paid a visit here! Love this place as it gives an unique flavour of Malaysia within this old building since olden days.

Came across this vegetarian restaurant in web search and finally had the chance to come and try!
The food taste and quality totally out of our expectation! Not to mention, the portion is huge as well, 1 portion of fried rice can feed 2 persons.
Strongly recommended place for both non-vegetarian and vegetarian! They do even serve a bowl of hot soup when we sat down and waiting for our order.
