W Kuala Lumpur stands for “WOW!” Experience

#kualalumpurhotels This hotel is awfully close to the KLCC Petronas Twin Towers, right opposite of the KLCC junction. The pool gives a glamorous view of the twin towers at night, and as we’ve discovered from our stay, the pool turns into a blaring night club, too! We went out at around 11pm to get a good view and photo of the Twin Towers from the pool; to our shock there’s a full blown Hennessy Party going on! There was also a dragon dance of some sorts going on, but we didn’t stay that long as we’re not really welcomed there with a kid. (One of the waiters came to me and said “Children under 10 not allowed to join” and I’m like, “yes I’m here for a quick photo; tell me something I don’t know?”) We then went back to the comfort of our lovely room with the same twin tower view 😂. It’s just from the room, we can’t appreciate the entirety of the towers- they’re SO close! You have to pay extra for the view too! The rooms with KLCC view is about RM200 more expensive than their non-view rooms (and ALL the rooms are over RM1k 😅). We love that the room is so large (for the hotel this area), with a large bathtub! We can fit 2 persons in there, love the tub. The room design is funky and cool, with 4 different pre-set lighting settings you can choose at a press of a button. And let me talk about the bed. The Bed! I’ve stayed at all of the KLCC Twin Towers surrounding hotels; Hyatt, MO, 4Seasons, Traders etc- none of them, NONE is as comfy and good as W Hotel’s bed. It’s so soft and fluffy, and you just sunk into it like, a dream! Will come back for the bed! The breakfast was spectacular! You can have the usuals, fresh bread, made-to-order eggs with 10 kinds of extra luxurious toppings, exotic fruits, home-made yogurt, fresh squeezed juice and real block of honey, plus a made-to-order chef’s special menu also. The teh tarik is meh but their eggs Benedict is alright. Love, looove the cheese selections. They have goat cheese, which is rare and expensive. All and all, not a boring hotel to stay at all! What a wonderful weekend and such a warm set of staff, too! Can’t wait to return there, but this time, maybe without kids 😂
