#May Travel Support Fund Ao Nang Beach and Railay Beach, Coexistence of Different Charms The most impressive thing about my trip to Krabi was Ao Nang Beach and Railay Beach. The two beaches are close in distance but have completely different atmospheres, so I felt like I experienced two completely different worlds in one day. Ao Nang Beach felt like a seaside town bustling with travelers. There were various restaurants and shops lined up right in front of the beach, so there was no inconvenience in eating or shopping, and it was also nice to take a long-tail boat to go to another beach. The time I sat on the beach and looked at the red sky at sunset allowed me to find some leisure time even in the convenience of the city. On the other hand, Railay Beach was literally an ‘island-like peninsula’ that could only be reached by boat. As soon as I arrived, the limestone cliffs, clear waters, and fine sandy beaches spread out before my eyes, which was the very definition of ‘relaxation.’ Since there were no cars and it was only possible to travel on foot, it was much quieter and more relaxed. Especially the Phra Nang Beach side, the scenery of the cliffs and the sea was really picturesque. It was also fun to watch people enjoying rock climbing. One side is an urban beach, the other side is a beach like a natural hideaway. They are different, but both are attractive places. If you are traveling to Krabi, I recommend experiencing both of these beaches.
