Takamatsu, the home of Sanuki udon, Konpira udon

As it is a city famous for udon, there are many udon restaurants. We went to Kotohira on the first day and had udon for lunch. I wondered what would be special about udon, but the texture of the noodles was chewy and springy. And the vegetable tempura was especially pretty and delicious. The udon soup was a little salty, but it was just right when the soup soaked into the noodles. The fried tofu udon was different from Korean udon in that the fried tofu had a slightly sweet flavor. Since it is a place famous for udon, I recommend you try udon. (Don't forget the texture....)
