Alipore Jail Museum - Kolkata

Alipore Jail Museum is well maintained and information place to visit. It’s located in Kolkata and near Victoria Palace. Jail is historic as many famous freedom fighters were jailed here and spent time during freedom struggle of India from Britishers. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose many cells are still there and many freedom fighters were hanged here. It was sad to watch all the documentation available on the premises and it also gives peek into the struggle and that freedom didn’t come free.
