island paradise- Koh samui

Ko Samui, also known as Koh Samui or just Samui, is Thailand’s second largest island on the east coast of the Isthmus Kra in the Gulf of Thailand. It is just 35km from the mainland of Surat Thani Province. To the north is the popular holiday islands of Ko Phangan, Ko Tao and Ko Nang Yuen. Koh Samui is renowned for its palm-fringed beaches, coconut trees and thick rain forests, as well as luxury resorts and elegant spas. One of Koh Samui’s famous landmarks is 12-meter high statue of the Golden Buddha at the Wat Phra Yai Temple is located on a small island that is linked by a road to Koh Samui. As well as that the island is the home of the infamous full moon party.
