Thai Maldives! Fact or fiction?

Koh Lipe Beaches. After reading a lot of information online, we set out to explore all the beaches on the island. As I wrote earlier, the island is not large, and you can easily walk around it in a day. Koh Lipe has three main beaches: Sun Rise Beach (where we watch the sunrise) Sun Set Beach (where we watch the sunset) Pattaya Beach (where the ferries arrive) What I want to say is that people far from the sea and those who have never been anywhere and have nothing to compare it to will love absolutely all of them. But we are from the Far East and have seen a lot of beaches. I'll start from the beginning, how it was and how everything was perceived along the way))) After our stay in Langkawi, where after the rainy season we saw no water clarity, the azure waters of Thailand immediately seemed like a marine paradise to us from the ferry. Huge fish, bright and incredibly beautiful, and corals were visible even from the depths. There's one major "but," though: almost all beaches, especially Pattaya and Sunrise, are accessible by boat (the ones that take you to the islands and snorkel). We first went to the beach where you watch the sunrise. There were good hotels on the beachfront, cafes, and fine white sand, but you could only swim between the boats. My disappointment was boundless. Sunrise has beautiful sand, few hotels, but there was tons of trash and it was completely undeveloped. It resembled a beach on an abandoned island with run-down hotels. Perhaps, I'm assuming the situation is completely different during high season. But I'm speaking from what we saw. Pattaya Beach is basically self-explanatory: boats, speedboats, the island's main beach, the main promenade, Walking Street, and border control. Swimming and sunbathing are fine, but not great. It seemed like we'd visited all three beaches, and what was billed as the Thai Maldives not only failed to impress us, but was also somewhat disappointing. But there's one spot, and as it turns out, this stretch of beach is the only reason this island is called the Thai Maldives. A heavenly spot – a stretch of coastline from sunrise to sunset beach. Landmark, the Zodiac Hotel. The hotel with the best location if you like relaxing right by the water. https://www.trip.com/w/ooeW1cp1LS2 The place is beautiful, a wide beach, white sand, no boats at all, a great bar, and most importantly, you can watch the sunrise and sunset here. I'll say right away that these are purely our impressions and feelings. The island changes, and seasonality also plays a role. P.S., unfortunately, we didn't have any good snorkeling on any of the island's beaches... #thailand #lipe #Kolipe #Taimaldives
