Stay at Koh Larn by the sea with a rooftop jacuzzi at Rimtalay Resort Koh Larn. The room we stayed in was the Pacific Green Villa. It's a two-story villa decorated in a minimalist style, like something out of Pinterest. The decor is beautiful, and the room is very spacious. Upstairs, there's a jacuzzi where you can soak and enjoy the beautiful sea view. Outside, there's a terrace where you can go squid fishing, and you can borrow fishing rods from the resort. Highly recommended accommodation!

Koh Larn: Never Gets Boring No Matter How Many Times You Visit

Koh Larn is a popular destination for beach lovers. Every visit to this island is as beautiful as the last. Located conveniently near Pattaya, it's not far from Bangkok. To get to Koh Larn, you take a ferry which costs about 30 baht per person. Once on the island, we checked into our accommodation and rented a motorbike for around 300 baht to explore the island. The photo was taken at Nual Beach around noon, where the water was crystal clear but it was very hot. There are also other beaches like Tawaen Beach, Tien Beach, and Samae Beach. If you love visiting islands with clear waters and don't want to travel far from Bangkok, Koh Larn is highly recommended.

Going to Pattaya, you must see the Glass Sea from above The seamless beauty of the sea and sky, all in one view. Here's a free travel guide ↓ 1️⃣ Take a bus from Bangkok to Pattaya 2️⃣ You can choose a hotel near Pattaya Walking Street (It's better to be a few streets away from the red-light district, it gets a bit overwhelming at night when it's in full swing) 3️⃣ Take a taxi to Pattaya pier and find any speedboat to Koh Larn. The pier is where we found the best Chinese-speaking locals in Pattaya, so don't worry. You might wait about 15min for the speedboat, and once it's full, it takes off. It's a 20min ride to Koh Larn. 4️⃣ No entrance fee is required for Koh Larn. The pier we arrived at didn't have a beach nearby, so you need a motorbike/tuk-tuk to get to the beach. Upon arrival, various people will approach you offering tour packages and transportation, just choose what you need. Since I've done most water activities many times except for parasailing, this time I just wanted to try parasailing. Bargained down to 800 Thai Baht including a motorbike ride to the beach. 5️⃣ Parasailing guide I suggest bringing a phone. After boarding, the guy will ask if you want photos and videos taken with your phone for 100 Thai Baht. Without a phone, it costs 200 Thai Baht. The guy will gather a speedboat's worth of people, then take us to a small pier. Our boat had 8 people, all Chinese, the highest concentration of Chinese tourists I've experienced in Thailand. The speedboat ride is thrilling, you feel like you're going to fly out at any minute 😅 When they seriously make us put on life jackets and collect our phones and sunglasses, I knew something was off. The process is to fly one by one, each person for about 2 minutes. You fly high and the view is really good. It's quite a rush when you first take off and aren't seated securely, but then it's not scary anymore. It's very comfortable flying in the sky. 6️⃣ After playing, you can go to the beach. We went to two beaches, one was very crowded and commercialized, but the sea was very blue, clear, and the sand was fine and soft. The other had fewer people, mostly Westerners, no commercial vibe, just shops and beach chairs. The water was just as clear, the sand not as fine, but there were lots of fish in the sea.

Starts My Journey 2024 in Thailand

My trip this year started in Thailand. I've been here many times, but I always enjoy coming back. Thailand offers a variety of attractions, and I have Thai friends who show me around to local favorites. This time, my friend took me on a food and drink tour in Bangkok and then to an island not far from the city. We drove from Bangkok to Laem Bali Hai Pier and took a speedboat or ferry to Koh Larn, knowing my love for the sea. Koh Larn is stunning with its clear blue waters and beautiful beaches. I was impressed by the scenery and atmosphere. There were many activities to enjoy, like snorkeling, squid fishing, and various water sports. The island also has lovely cafes and delicious seafood restaurants. We had a great time dining and drinking. The next day, it was time to fly back. I picked up some souvenirs at Duty-Free, focusing on Thailand's famous fruits like durian and mango. There were many products with mango and durian flavors. I got a little souvenir. One of the items I got was a King Power Mango Wafer. It was tasty and easy to eat, but the mango flavor was subtle. I also bought a King Power Durian Roll, which was very delicious and addictive (maybe because I love durian!). My family enjoyed it too. Another interesting purchase was ElepTea Thai Tea, which comes in three flavors. The orange box contains the original flavor, which is a famous Thai flavor. My brother asked me to buy this one for him because he had visited Thailand before and bought it. It's the brand's renowned product. The other two flavors are durian and mango, which are cute and unique. The taste is like strong Thai tea with a hint of durian/mango. It's not too sweet and quite delicious. I really like these two (maybe because I like mango and durian). I gave some to my friends, and they liked it too. Overall, it was a joyful trip filled with fun activities and good memories with my friend. I can’t wait for my next adventure! #trip

I didn't expect we would stay in Bangkok for five days

Although many people use Bangkok as a transit hub and only stay for 1-2 days before heading to Pattaya or Chiang Mai, we stayed in Bangkok for five days and still felt it wasn't enough. DAY1 Arrived in Bangkok at night DAY2 SAIM District City Walk Erawan Shrine - Central World - Siam Paragon - SAIM CENTER - SAIM DISCOVERY - Gaysorn Village - SANYA Center - Chulalongkorn University Food Street DAY3 Pattaya Coral Island one-day group tour + Thai massage DAY4 Riverside District City Walk Wat Arun Thai costume photo shoot - Bangkok Museum - ICONSAIM - Riverside restaurant dinner DAY5 Maeklong Railway Market + Floating Market one-day private car + Big C shopping DAY6 Return to Shanghai Pre-trip Preparation ✓SIM card ✓Cash 10,000 Thai Baht (about 2000 RMB) ✓Travel insurance ✓Download APPs The most used APPs this time were Grab and Google Maps. It's better to register for Grab in your home country because it requires a verification code, which might be hard to receive in Bangkok (I couldn't receive the verification code at all in Bangkok, luckily Fei had completed the registration beforehand, otherwise it would have been 'embarrassing'). Grab has a good response time for calling a ride (including motorcycles), and the prices are fixed. If you're worried about credit card fraud, you can ask the driver to accept cash, and they won't refuse, but try to prepare small change to avoid issues with change. Tuk-tuk: The local app is called Muvimi, which prevents you from being overcharged, but you can't call a tuk-tuk from another district, and you can't withdraw money after topping up, which is a bit inconvenient. ✓Book hotel + flight (prepare electronic itinerary) The airline staff said that customs might ask about it when entering the country. If you have a round-trip ticket, 10,000 Thai Baht is enough; if you don't have a return ticket, you need 20,000 Thai Baht (they just want you to spend money). In reality, when entering through Don Mueang, they didn't ask anything, it was all electronic scanning and fingerprinting.

A day trip in Koh Lan in Pattaya, Thailand. Very easy and cheap to get in the small island in Pattaya. Just take ferry at Bali Hai Pier for only 30 bath ($2.8 Aud) for 30-45 minutes. If you want to go to the different beaches around the island just rent motorcycle for 300 bath ($14.75 Aud) a day. The food are cheap and reasonable. There were a lot of Chinese, Indian and local Thai tourists around Tawean beach as people like to swim there. There are Songtell mini bus that can take you around the island which is very cheap. The water is crystal clear in Tien beach and there will be the geese come out at 2pm for you to take a photo with. amazing weekend trip

This weekend, we decided to go to pattaya and Koh larn, from pattaya pier, it costs us 30 bhat to get to the island. there are lots of beaches where you can gettin tanned and swim. one of my favourite ones is Nual beach and Samae beach! long and white sand, the water is crystal clear. there are also lots of viewpoints where you can appreciate the beauty of the island. there are few Buddhist temples and statues of Thai monks on the island. if you like hiking, Tawaen and windmill viewpoint will be your top 2 stops on Koh larn. the last ferry to go back to pattaya is at 6pm, so we are pretty lucky to experience the golden hours on the island, and watch sunset on the ferry! anyways, lovely place and it’s close to Bangkok. perfect for your weekend trip #passionpassport #gooutside #beachlife #bucketlistreboot
