[Shimo-Benzaiten/Tokyo] A shrine in a park donated to the city

Shimo-Benzaiten in Koganei City, Tokyo 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 It was founded in 1605. It is said that the Osawa Hayatonokami family, who moved to Nukui, cleared the land, invited the god of water to this place where clear water springs, and enshrined Benzaiten as the tutelary deity. And at some point, Nukui Shrine came to be called Kami-Benzaiten and our shrine Shimo-Benzaiten. It is now a sub-shrine outside the grounds of Nukui Shrine. The spring water in the pond stopped flowing between 1958 and 1961, and since then the pond at Shimo-Benzaiten has dried up. Now, all that remains are traces of the pond, and there is not a drop of water. The shrine is located in Shimobenten Children's Square, and although the shrine is small, the park is spacious and has play equipment. After some research, I found out that it was donated to the city by the Osawa family in 2015 and opened to the public as a park.
