A breathtakingly beautiful summer sea view awaits at Starbucks Kobe Nishimaiko Store.

This Starbucks offers a stunning ocean view overlooking the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Located in the Maiko area of Kobe, it is easily accessible by public transportation, just a 5-minute walk from Sanyo Nishimaiko Station. Since Nishimaiko is a local stop, it’s recommended to take the express train to Maikokoen Station and transfer to a local train for one stop. Walking from Maikokoen Station would be quite a distance. On the opposite side, at Awaji SA on Awaji Island, there’s another Starbucks where you can enjoy the view of this side. Having visited that location first, I decided to check out this one this time. Until the day before, Typhoon No. 7 had brought heavy rain and cloudy skies, but after the typhoon passed, the scenery turned into a picturesque view. I briefly hesitated in Okayama due to the morning rain, but I’m so glad I decided to come! Around Nishimaiko Station, you can see the JR Sanyo Main Line and Sanyo Line running parallel, creating a unique sight of four trains passing simultaneously. On the way to Starbucks, you’ll encounter a bridge where seawater flows in, offering a stunning backdrop. The reflection shots of the clouds here are truly remarkable. At Starbucks, the view is less obstructed compared to the bridge, making it ideal for photos. I arrived around 8:30 AM and found three out of four window seats available, securing a spot without any hassle. By 9 AM, more visitors started arriving, and the window seats quickly filled up. The terrace seats are completely outdoors, which might be challenging during summer due to the heat and direct sunlight. Night photos of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge with its illuminated lights are absolutely stunning. The sea breeze adds a salty touch to the experience. Thank you!
