Since Kobe has a significant Chinese community, Chinese cuisine here is quite distinctive! I ordered the basic dry dandan noodles, which were topped with a generous amount of ingredients. Beneath the toppings were wide, thick noodles mixed with Sichuan-style chili oil sauce. The spicy, numbing, and salty flavors hit all at once—truly satisfying! The taste was bold but not overly salty. I also ordered Taiwanese-style fried chicken, though it looked a bit different from the traditional version. After checking online, I found out that this shop is actually a Michelin Bib Gourmand recommended restaurant. No wonder it's so popular among locals—most of the customers were Japanese office workers. The dandan noodles included cashews, chunks of onion, cilantro, minced meat, and pickled vegetables, all mixed together for a truly unique flavor.
