A casual bar in Kobe where you can enjoy drinks.
This bar has no cover charge, making it easy to drop in. I ordered cocktails while consulting with the staff. True to its name, the bottles lined up inside the bar make it look like a 'Liquor Museum.' You can enjoy a variety of drinks here. They also have happy hour deals on weekdays depending on the time, but the prices are already quite reasonable. Located just a minute's walk from JR Sannomiya Station, it's perfect for those who want to have a quick drink before heading home.

A Must-Visit Portside Diner in Tarumi, Kobe
- Located at Tarumi Fishing Port.
- Popular as a tourist spot. I arrived at around 1 PM on a weekday and there were four groups ahead of me.
- I ordered the most popular set meal, the 'Tarumi Fishing Port Set Meal' (1,480 yen including tax). It includes a mini shirasu bowl, sashimi, and fried salmon, which was very satisfying.
- The sashimi in the set meal that day included sea bream, yellowtail, and Spanish mackerel. All the fish were caught in Kobe (the staff kindly explained). The food was delicious, served quickly, and the atmosphere was great. No wonder it's so popular.

I waited for three and a half hours in Kobe's Nishi Ward, but the melon shaved ice was delicious.
I love 'melon shaved ice,' and since the 'peach milk shaved ice' I had last time was too sweet, I went to try the 'peach shaved ice' this time. My conclusion is that melon shaved ice is recommended for summer.

The Enchanting Shinnyo-en Temple in Kobe, Japan ⛩️🇯🇵
Located in the Ikutacho area of Kobe, the Shinnyo-en temple is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main train station. As you enter the first gate there are some steep stairs leading up to the main temple. At the top you are greeted by a small and secluded temple and an incredible view of the city of Kobe. It’s a perfect photo opportunity with views of the city and often a very quiet temple 📸

Kobe Nishi Ward's Sushi Kantama Tamaizu Store Offers Exceptional Value

【Kobe Nishi Ward】The 2024 Tampopo Shaved Ice has started.
Introducing the Kamiide Fresh Strawberry Espuma Ice (1,920 yen). This year it started on May 8th. It's a limited quantity, seasonal shaved ice. The fresh strawberry ice is expected to be available until the end of May. The end date may vary, so let's go while we can eat it. There was no waiting time on weekdays in late May. Customers kept coming in one after another, and everyone was eating strawberry ice. Since the period is short, I want to go eat as soon as the seasonal fruit ice comes out.

Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art
I recently visited the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, a beautiful place near Nada Station that is truly astonishing! This building is considered a symbol of recovery from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and since its opening in 2002, it has been attracting many visitors.
The Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art was designed by the famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando, with a building area of about 28,000 square meters, making it one of the largest structures in the western region. Facing the sea, it is filled with the unique aspects of Ando's architectural style, and every corner is a perfect spot for photography.
On the museum's rooftop, the work 'Kobe Frog' by Dutch artist Florentijn Hoffmann is displayed, becoming one of the symbols of the museum. In addition, the exhibition rooms house a collection of over 10,000 works of art from Japan and abroad, including works by artists related to Hyogo Prefecture.
After visiting the museum, you can relax in the restaurant and café, enjoying delicious cuisine. Why not try the 'Kobe Deluxe Pork Cutlet' or the 'Tajima Beef Minced Meat Cutlet Lunch' at Restaurant Fortissimo, while admiring the sea view outside the window.
In this place full of artistic atmosphere, you can enjoy good food, appreciate artworks, and have a pleasant time with friends and family. It is definitely a recommended travel destination!

atticus_valerianhawthorne Osaka Surroundings | My God, this hot spring inn in the autumn leaves season is comparable to Rurikoin!
| My God, this hot spring inn in the autumn leaves season is comparable to Rurikoin!.
Although I've heard that the cherry blossom season and the autumn leaves season in Arima Onsen are beautiful, the locals think that the autumn leaves season is the most beautiful season in Arima.
Japanese writer Hisashi Kashiwai once wrote a book "Japan's 100 Famous Inns", which records the 100 inns and restaurants he selected in Japan. It can be said to be a bible of Japanese inns. 'Arima Mountain Villa' is selected among these hundred selections.
Arima Mountain Villa is far away from the hot spring street, hidden in the mountains of Arima. It's worth mentioning that the original site of Arima's Kiyomizu Temple is here. Entering the lobby, the reflection of Rurikoin is in sight, and I couldn't help exclaiming: This is too beautiful! There is also an antique piano in the lobby, and even a small library. Without too much fancy decoration, the high-end sense is self-evident.
The dinner at the inn is called Yamake Zen, which is a French-style cooking with wild vegetables produced in the vicinity of Arima, paired with Danma beef and seafood, which is a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine.
In addition to the large bath, each room has an open-air private bath. Especially the open-air hot spring in the room No. 4 where I and my best friend stayed is the most special. It is a bird's nest design. Bathing in the hot spring in the forest surrounded by lush trees, quietly enjoying the comfortable time in the forest, this hot spring is too fairy!
Kobe Animal Kingdom | A Wonderful Journey of Animals
| A Wonderful Journey of Animals. Kobe Animal Kingdom is located in Suma District, Kobe City, covering an area of about 13 hectares, and is one of the famous zoos in Japan. Today, we experienced a wonderful journey of animals here and felt the magical charm of nature.
The zoo is home to many animals with different personalities. The sika deer are agile and lively, and their round eyes are very cute. The capybaras are adorable, and their round bodies and silly expressions make people can't help but love them. The golden monkeys are very smart and funny. Many golden monkeys are jumping and climbing between the branches, and a little monkey is asking for food from the tourists, feeling the beauty of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
In addition to watching animals, Kobe Animal Kingdom also has many interesting interactive projects. At the Ocean Theater, I watched a wonderful dolphin performance. The dolphins were tumbling and jumping in the water, cooperating with the trainer, showing their superb skills. In addition, the zoo also has a touch pool, where tourists can touch starfish and other marine life by hand, feeling the mysterious charm of the sea.
In addition to watching animals and participating in interactive projects, Kobe Animal Kingdom also has many food and souvenir shops for tourists to choose from. We bought various cute animal dolls and souvenirs to take home the beautiful memories.

Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden
Amazing view from our Cable car ride to visit Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden.
We went up the through the cable car to see the evening view of the city and went back down to see the night view of Kobe.
If you get in after 5pm, you won’t be able to enter the herb garden but you will still be able to enjoy the amazing view of the city from atop. Up in the hill there will be some shop and restaurants.
Definitely worth to visit if you’re on a day trip to Kobe - Japan.

Great place for Kobe Beef Steak - Merikan Hatoba
Merikan Steak and Grill is a steak house serving the famous Kobe beef. It is located in the Motomachidori shopping district but on a side street, so it is necessary to look carefully to reach the place. It is a small restaurant with less than 20 seats and reservation in advance is highly recommended.
Merikan Hatoba serves only A5 Kobe beef, so the few sets on the menu basically offers the beef by weight - ie 100g, 150g or 200g.
The chef managed the kitchen by himself, while another waitress served customers. We ordered the sets and within 15 minutes the beef steaks were ready! Without a word, we all dove right into our delicious and juicy meal!
When the chef is free , he would even come out and take photos with his customers! This is a cozy little place full of character that we would definitely want to go back!

A Garden with Free foot spa
The garden is located on the top of the mountain that you have to ride on to the cable car. When you reach the top, you will see a few food stalls, a restaurant, a cafe, gift shops, a perfume museum, and some workshops. There is a path you can walk down, and you’ll see a lot of plants, flowers, and different types of herbs. They have a resting area full of swing beds, and it was so comfortable. The most exciting part is the free foot spa, which is actually an onsen. The heated spring water comes from this mountain, which is very famous in Kobe. That time I went there, it was in the winter, so it was perfect for me to try that onsen, you will have to pay 100 yen for the clean towel. While you are in the onsen, you can relax, enjoy the amazing view, and take a deep breath. The people recommend not soaking yourself for too long, about 10–15 minutes. I love this place so much that I went there twice, so I do recommend it to you guys and I hope you will enjoy. If you’ve been there before comment down below and tell us your experience too.

We went to Kobe Oji Zoo and the bay area. It's a shame we didn't try the Kobe beef 🥺 Maybe we should visit again 🤗
