Here I felt the openness and diversity of Kobe, and appreciated its beauty and romance. ❣ There are many interesting buildings and artworks in the park, such as Kobe Port Tower, Kobe Maritime Museum, BE KOBE Monument, etc. My favorite is the Kobe Port Tower, which is shaped like a huge desk lamp and lights up very brightly at night, like a bright light on the sea. I climbed to the top of the tower and could see the whole view of Kobe from there, which was very spectacular. 🎈🎈 The park also has an area commemorating the Great Hanshin Earthquake, where the damaged pier is preserved. There I saw the strength and recovery of the people of Kobe in the face of disaster, and felt their desire for peace. 🎀🎀 Meriken Park gave me a deeper understanding and love for Kobe.
