FIRESIDE LUNCH at ROBATA

In Japan, robata cooking, also known as charcoal grilling, is a specialty of ROBATA, which means "fireside." Robata cooking was first popularized by early fisherman, who carried boxes of hot coals on their boats to reheat their food as they gathered the day's catch. Despite the fact that the cooking process has essentially remained the same, the menu features both ROBATA specialties and a contemporary rendition of some of Japan's most cherished meals. The idea is simple—the menu is divided into five sections, and customers are encouraged to split a variety of items among themselves. There are several categories, such as Raws and Sushi, Small Plates, Bao Buns, Robata Skewers, and Robata Large. Robata is located both Davao and Kidapawan, but this time we dine at Kidapawan Branch.
