Airport access to Hat Yai International Airport (bus/songthaew)

Here is an introduction to how to get to Hat Yai International Airport. There are airport buses, airport songthaews, taxis, and GRABs to travel between Hat Yai Airport and Hat Yai city. If you are traveling with more than two people and have large luggage, we recommend taking a taxi, but if you are not, we recommend taking an airport bus or songthaew if you have time. There is an airport taxi counter at the exit of the airport building, so if you are using a taxi, please make the arrangements there. This time, we took the airport bus to the city and a songthaew from the city to the airport. The airport bus runs about once an hour, so it is convenient if you time it right. When you leave the airport building, there is an airport bus ticket counter, so you can buy a ticket there. The fare is 60 THB, and the bus stops at the destination listed on the ticket in the photo. If you want to get off in the city center, Kim Yong Market is not listed, but if you tell them that you want to get off near Hat Yai Station, they will drop you off nearby. The airport songthaews run frequently and basically run between the airport and Hat Yai Clock Tower. The fare is 40 baht. If you are coming from the city, stand on the side of the road on the Kim Yong Market side of the Hatyai Clock Tower and take a songthaew with a blue "AIRPORT" sign to reach the airport. Just to be sure, ask the driver "Airport?" before getting in to avoid any mistakes. The fare of 40 baht is paid to the driver through the passenger window when you get off.
