Day 6 (2) of 14-day independent travel in Georgia - Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument.

Continue along the Georgian Military Highway to visit the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument, which is located at an altitude of 2384 meters in Gori.‌ The monument was built in 1983 to commemorate the 200-year friendship between Georgia and Russia. The inner wall of the arch is decorated with bright mosaic tile murals depicting the historical scenes of Georgia and Russia. The monument is an excellent place to overlook the Caucasus Mountains.‌ The day we arrived, the mountains were surrounded by mist, as if we were in a fairyland. It was beautiful.
