Spring in Nepal is all about rhododendrons and snow-capped mountains

Spring is the second most popular trekking season in Nepal after autumn. The weather is warming up, and it's the season when the rhododendron, Nepal's national flower, is in full bloom. Rhododendrons bloom in early March at low altitudes, and the higher the altitude, the later the blooming season. The blooming season can last until April, depending on the altitude. March is also the time for Holi, one of the most important festivals in Nepal and one of the craziest festivals in the world. This year, Holi falls on March 13.
