The 'Pearl of the Adriatic': the city of Venice on water

During a business trip in Italy, I always make sure to hang out with colleagues and friends every weekend if I'm free, and the renowned Venice is certainly on the itinerary. Venice is the 'Pearl of the Adriatic', and it was also a gathering place for the Crusades during their eastern expeditions. It is also a historic and cultural city of Italy. There are many historical sites in the city, including various churches, bell towers, monasteries, and over a hundred palaces. Everywhere are the footprints left by writers, painters, and musicians. Venice has the reputation of being 'born from water, beautiful because of water, and thriving because of water', and enjoys the beautiful names of 'City of Water', 'City on Water', 'City of a Hundred Islands', and is also the only city in the world without cars. The canals serve as streets and alleys, and boats are the only means of transportation in Venice, with the local gondola being particularly unique. It is truly a romantic city floating on the azure waves.
