New look of old warehouse: the cultural creation and harbor soul of Pier-2 Art Center

The predecessor of Pier 2 was the warehouse complex of the second docking terminal of Kaohsiung Port. It was built in 1973 and once stored goods such as sugar and fish meal. With the transfer of industries, the warehouses were gradually idle until the National Day fireworks were located here in 2000, which attracted the attention of the art and cultural circles. The Pier 2 Art Development Association was established in 2001.
