Pre-trip Preparations • Documents: Exit & Entry Permit for Taiwan, China, and Taiwan Travel Permit for Mainland Residents. Make sure to apply for these in advance to ensure a smooth trip. • Clothing: Kaohsiung has a warm climate with hot summers, so pack light, breathable clothing and sun protection. Winters are mild, so a light jacket is sufficient. • Other: Travel adapter (Taiwanese outlets are different from mainland China), portable charger, camera, and any necessary medications. Recommended Attractions • Love River: As a landmark of Kaohsiung, the Love River runs through the city. During the day, stroll along the riverbanks and admire the cityscape and greenery. At night, as the lights come on, take a sightseeing boat and experience the city's romance amidst the swaying water. Along the way, you'll see Kaohsiung's unique bridges, each with its own style. • Former British Consulate at Takao: This building, with its colonial-era charm, is a historical landmark in Kaohsiung.
