[Taiwan] Lotus Pond under construction and the sunset

#TaipeiTrip2024 This year, I went on a trip to Kaohsiung. Kaohsiung is a port city located in the southern part of Taiwan, and has a unique atmosphere different from Taipei and Taichung. The first place I visited was Lotus Pond, but unfortunately many areas were closed due to construction. Construction was also underway around the Dragon and Tiger Tower, and I regret that I was not able to fully enjoy the atmosphere. After that, I visited Cijin Peninsula. Easily accessible by ferry, this place is a spot where you can enjoy beautiful beaches and seafood dishes. The view from Cijin Lighthouse was spectacular, and it was a place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In the evening, I enjoyed delicious Taiwanese food at Kaohsiung Night Market. At Liuhe Night Market, I tried the local specialty spicy squid soup and oyster omelette, both of which were delicious. Kaohsiung is also known as a city of art, and I also visited the Pier-2 Art Center. This is an art area that was renovated from an old warehouse, where you can enjoy murals and modern art. Overall, Kaohsiung, with its relaxed atmosphere and rich culture, was a very attractive tourist destination.
