#Kaohsiung Attractions The Spring & Autumn Pagodas are located on the banks of the Lotus Pond in Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City. They are two Chinese palace-style pagodas, the Spring Pagoda and the Autumn Pagoda. Its full name is "Southeast Emperor Que Leshan Society Qiming Hall Chunqiu Pavilion", also known as "Chunqiu Pavilion". It is a temple built to commemorate the Martial Saint Guan Gong. The Chunqiu Pavilion was built in 1953. It is connected to the Nine-Curve Bridge. The curved bridge extends to the Wuli Pavilion in the Lotus Pond, and it was the tallest tower in Taiwan at that time. The two pavilions are four stories high and octagonal each, with green tiles and yellow walls, like pagodas, and their antique shadows are reflected in the water. There is a statue of Guanyin riding a dragon in front. It is said that Guanyin Bodhisattva once appeared in the clouds riding a dragon, and instructed believers to build a statue according to her appearance between the Spring Pavilion and the Autumn Pavilion. Therefore, there is the current statue of Guanyin riding a dragon. Chunqiu Imperial Pavilion is one of the must-visit attractions when traveling to Lianchitan!
