Silks Club Kaohsiung

#Kaohsiung Hotel My wife and I just attended an Ed Sheeran concert at the Silk Club in Kaohsiung this past weekend (it was a fantastic concert). When we arrived in Kaohsiung, we arranged for the hotel van to pick us up at the HSR station. The driver and tour guide were very friendly. Our guide was very helpful in arranging dinner reservations as well as reserving a window seat for breakfast. The hall is very dark but looks very cool with these balls moving up and down (hopefully you'll see that in the film). My son and I stared at that one for a while :) The rooms are beautifully designed/decorated. It looks simple and clean (check out the photos). The bathroom was large and the wardrobe was huge. The next morning we went to breakfast; it was quite crowded and I could see why. The food was amazing! To bake the bread, they have a pastry chef sitting there who heats all the bread for you in an oven (like a pizza oven). The salad bar there had more ingredients than any salad bar I've had in a hotel. It was a great breakfast (they present all their food as if they were in a classy Michelin restaurant). Overall summary: This hotel is amazing! I think this is the best hotel I've stayed in Taiwan (and I've been to a lot of them). Other than that, there is a 7-11 around the corner from the hotel entrance and a 7-11X across the street. Would I go there again? absolute! Would I recommend this to my friends? Absolutely again!
