Take the Noriai Bus Awai Himehama Line from JR Kan'onji Station and tell the driver "Awai Shrine". There are no bus stops on the Noriai Bus, so you can get on and off anywhere along the route. The other names "Hydrangea Palace" and "Hydrangea Shrine" are said to have been named after these hydrangeas. We recommend visiting when the hydrangeas are in bloom.
