You have to go to Western Sichuan at least once!!!

The upcoming Western Sichuan is going to be unbelievably beautiful~ The sun shining on the golden mountains, alpine lakes, endless meadows of wildflowers... You don't have to go to Xinjiang to experience this! It's right here in Sichuan!! You can enjoy this freedom on the weekend! I know someone wants to go, but I won't say who hahaha~ I've been to Western Sichuan countless times, so today I'm summarizing a 3-day itinerary that I've put together! It's guaranteed to produce amazing photos!!!! Day 1: Chengdu ➠ Kangding ➠ Honghaizi ➠ Yuzixi ➠ Xinduqiao Day 2: Xinduqiao ➠ Jiagenba ➠ Riche Village ➠ Sky Garden ➠ Zimei Pass Day 3: Balang Shengdu ➠ Gunong Village ➠ Chengdu 🏔️Day 1 Itinerary: ✔️Start from Chengdu in the early morning, cross over Mount Zheduo, and arrive in Kangding at noon. I recommend going straight to Shuji Ji Yak Meat and Mushroom Hot Pot. I go there every time I pass by Kangding with friends!! They bring out a pot full of yak meat, which is very filling and perfect for replenishing energy as the first stop~ I love their highland barley pancake 🫓. Dipping it in the mushroom hot pot is so good, I feel alive again after eating it hahaha! It's super authentic 👍 ✔️Head straight to Yuzixi in the afternoon. The altitude of 4,300m makes your heart beat faster, but seeing the 360° view of the snow-capped mountains makes it all worth it! At sunset, Mount Gongga and Mount Yala are covered in golden gauze. The camera can't capture even a tenth of the shock. (Tip: It's windy at the top of the mountain, so dress warmly!) ✔️I recommend staying overnight in Xinduqiao on the first night, at an altitude of 3,300m. The warm Tibetan homestay and butter tea will heal your fatigue. 🏔️Day 2 Itinerary: ✔️It's a special tour of the Little Switzerland of Western Sichuan! The Tibetan wooden houses in Jiagenba are scattered among the poplar forests, with gurgling streams and cows and sheep slowly grazing. It's like stepping into a Miyazaki summer. ✔️In the afternoon, go to the original village of Riche Village, where it's so quiet you can hear your own heartbeat. The smiles of the villagers are warmer than the sun. ✔️Hike through the Sky Garden, where wildflowers cover the hillside, and the distant snow-capped mountains are intertwined with clouds. Every step feels like stepping into an oil painting. This is the closest place to Xinjiang! ✔️In the evening, rush to the top of Zimei Pass, where Mount Gongga is close at hand. When the clouds roll, it feels like standing at the end of the world. 🏔️Day 3 Itinerary: ✔️On the last day, go to Balang Shengdu! The snow mountain viewing platform here has fewer people and beautiful scenery. Mount Yala looks like a cream cake standing in front of you. Sit on the meadow and stare blankly, watching the shadows of the clouds sweep across the yak herds. Time seems to stand still. ✔️Gunong Village is a surprise bonus! Set up a canopy by the stream, brew a pot of coffee, and the sound of melting snow from the mountains is the best background music. Before leaving, pick up a stone from the red rock beach as a souvenir from Western Sichuan~ - You have to come to Western Sichuan once in your life!
