On the 1st day, we just strolling around the town area, here are some interesting attractions we have been visited: 🚶♂️➡️1. Kanchanaburi Town Gate, a historical landmark in Ban Tai, the gate itself is not just an entry point but a symbol of the city’s storied history, making it a must-visit for any tourist. It also serves as a gateway to various attractions nearby, 🚶♂️➡️2. City Pillar Shrine or San Lak Mueang is located in the middle of the road, close to the town gate, a stop to pay respects and blessings. 🚶♂️➡️3. Wat Chai Chumphon Chana Songkhram is a busy temple located by the river on Pak Praek Road at the southern end of town. The temple has a small hall enshrining a Buddha footprint. It also has pleasant grounds on the river bank where the JEATH War Museum is situated 🚶♂️➡️4. Boat trips along the River Kwai are highly recommended for its serene and picturesque views. Some tours include floating raft houses and riverside dining experiences. ▶️ Tips for visiting: Best Time to visit Kanchanaburi is the cool season (December to February). It's ideal for visiting Kanchanaburi, as the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities. ▶️ What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, swimwear, sunscreen, and insect repellent are essential.
