Kanazawa - Cultural place with fresh seafood

Capital of Ishikawa Prefecture with well-preserved Edo-era districts. The main places of attraction are all within walking distances of each other (1-2 km) but you may consider using the Day Pass on Loop Bus services available on weekends. I was fortunate enough to be there and experience the Kanazawa Hyakumangoku Festival on 1 Jun at and around Kanazawa Castle. I visited the featured locations over 2 full days. Featured locations/food: (1) Kanazawa station - many food options, but I tried Noto Beef 3-way at Kanazawa Niku Shokudo (2) Omicho market - fresh seafood in various styles, sashimi, grilled, etc. 15 min walk from Kanazawa station. I tried Chirashi Don at Iki Iki Tei and fresh oysters at one of many stores (3) Higashi Chaya District - gold-leaf ice-cream (4) Kanazawa Castle Park - where I experienced the festivities (5) Kenrokuen - one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan (6) Nishi Chaya District, Ninja Weapons Museum - Darts throwing experience at the museum not to be missed and confectionary at Amanatto Kanazawa #kanazawa #omicho #higashichaya #kenrokuen #nishichaya #ninjabukimuseum #cultural
