Temple with killer views

#springitinerary Hasedera in Kamakura is one of those places that just feels good to walk around. It’s built into a hillside, so as you wander through the gardens and up the stairs, you keep getting these awesome views of the coastline. The temple grounds are super pretty. think ponds, flowers, stone paths, and a ton of little statues tucked into corners. It’s quiet, calm, and just has this peaceful vibe that makes you want to slow down. The main hall is beautiful and holds a massive wooden Kannon statue that’s pretty impressive in person. There’s also a little cave you can walk through that feels kind of hidden and mysterious. The whole place just flows really well, like every turn gives you a new angle or cool little detail. If you’re in Kamakura, Hasedera is 100% worth a stop, super chill, photogenic, and a perfect mix of nature and tradition.
