Wat Nong Phong Nok, a beautiful temple in Kamphaeng Saen

Wat Nong Phong Nok or Wat Charoen Rat Bamrung is a temple that was built not long ago. It was built in 1975 with the faith of Buddhists to be the center of the minds of the local people and Nakhon Pathom Province. It invited Luang Pho Mongkhon Nimit, a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, which is carved from stone. It is believed to have been built in the late Ayutthaya period and is approximately 400 years old. It was discovered in an abandoned temple in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, so it was invited to be enshrined at Wat Nong Phong Nok. Inside the chapel, it is spacious and beautifully carved with exquisite wood. There is a Phra Somdej Ong Pathom in the Maha Chakraphat posture (Buddha statue in emperor's robes), which is a rare posture, as the principal Buddha image in the chapel.
