Wat Nong Phong Nok, pay homage to Luang Pho Mongkhon Nimit

#Places to visit near Bangkok 🙏Wat Charoen Rat Bamrung or Wat Nong Phong Nok is a beautiful temple in Nakhon Pathom Province. It was founded on May 2, 1975 and received the royal charter of the boundary on January 15, 1991. Devotees donated land to build the temple to serve as a center of Buddhists. Other devotees, along with villagers, donated money to build a monk's residence, a sermon hall, a multipurpose hall, electricity, water, a crematorium, a kitchen, and a chapel. 🏰The chapel was built in 1990. The structure is reinforced concrete in a Thai style, using the faith of the faithful. 🏰The interior of the chapel is beautifully carved with intricate wood. There is a Phra Somdej Ong Phathom in the Maha Chakraphat posture (the Buddha statue in the emperor's robes), which is beautifully exquisite and a rare Buddha statue in Thailand. It is the principal Buddha statue in the chapel. 🏰Inside the temple, there is also "Luang Pho Mongkhon Nimit", a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, which is a carved stone Buddha statue. It is assumed to have been built in the late Ayutthaya period. If we count the current age, it is about 400 years old. It is not clear who built it, but it was discovered at an abandoned temple in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Therefore, it was invited to be enshrined at Wat Charoen Rat Bamrung on November 18, 1981. It is a sacred Buddha image that is revered by the villagers of Nong Phong Nok and nearby villagers. 🏰 Wat Nong Phong Nok continues to develop continuously. There is the creation of the Phra Somdej Ong Pratom Buddha image in the Lanna art style. The white Buddha image is prominently enshrined at the entrance to the temple. 🙏 Inside the chapel is beautiful wood carvings that are meticulous. There is the Phra Somdej Ong Pratom Maha Chakraphat (Buddha image in emperor attire) which is exquisitely beautiful and a Buddha image in a rare posture in Thailand.
