Ruins of Temple of Ammon Zeus

During my visit to the Temple of Ammon Zeus in Kallithea, Greece, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite reading some underwhelming reviews, I found the site to be quite intriguing. The ruins, dating back to the 4th century BC, offered a fascinating glimpse into ancient Greek worship practices. Not much is preserved, but you can use your imagination to visualise the temple in its old glory. I highly recommend visiting early in the morning. The site is in an open area with little shade, so the cooler morning hours are ideal for exploring comfortably. After your visit, head to the nearby Kallithea beach. The water is crystal clear, perfect for a refreshing swim, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the shore where you can relax and enjoy a drink or delicious Greek cuisine. #greece #templeamos #Kallithea
