Shuanglong Alley Historical and Cultural District 🏠We stayed at the Shuanglong Alley Inn in Kaifeng, Shuanglong Alley Inn (Kaifeng Drum Tower Square Qingming Riverside Park Store), which has three courtyards with three entrances and exits, all antique rooms.🗺️Shuanglong Alley is not too far from various attractions in Kaifeng, and it is much quieter than the Drum Tower area, and it is a guesthouse with heritage and characteristics.🐲According to legend passed down through generations, Zhao Kuangyin and Zhao Guangyi, two emperors of the Song Dynasty, once lived here. A small alley produced two real dragon emperors, becoming the 'land where dragons hide'. Some courtyards in the alley can also be visited, and even during holidays, there are not many tourists. Kaifeng Wen Temple 📖Across from the intersection of Shuanglong Alley, is the Wen Temple. We just stopped by and checked in from the outside, if interested, you can go and have a look. Bookstore Street Heading south from an intersection and then turning west, you will reach Bookstore Street. It is one of the two great ancient streets in the world, alongside Kanda Book Town in Tokyo, Japan. Despite being mostly imitation ancient buildings, you can still appreciate the leisurely and elegant ancient charm. There are not many tourists during the day, but at night, it becomes another scene. That's right! It's the Bookstore Street Night Market! Shan-Shaanxi-Gansu Guild Hall 🪟Following Bookstore Street south to a small road named Xufu Street and turning west, you will see the Shan-Shaanxi-Gansu Guild Hall. It is called Xufu Street because it was once the residence of Xu Da, the founding hero of the Ming Dynasty from Zhongshan. Apart from the ingeniously designed 'chicken claw archway' with three rooms, six pillars, and five floors, the Shan-Shaanxi-Gansu Guild Hall is famous for its brick carvings, stone carvings, and wood carvings (many of the carvings in the Shan-Shaanxi-Gansu Guild Hall can be called masterpieces, such as the Shan-Shaanxi Guild Hall in Liaocheng Dongchangfu). Especially the wood carvings in the main hall, which are divided into seven layers, are exquisitely beautiful, comparable to the imperial palace. Among them, the dragon ball in the 'two dragons playing with a pearl' is only a few millimeters away from the dragon's tongue. The dragon ball seems to be detached from the dragon's mouth, but it is actually carved from one piece. No matter from what angle, the connection point is not visible .
