Famous cherry blossom spot: Mitoyo City Asahiyama Forest Park

Asahiyama Forest Park is located at an altitude of 238.2m in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture. The mountain is named Asahi because it is the first mountain to be illuminated by the morning sun. Every year, about 2,000 cherry trees bloom. The trees sway in the wind, and the petals fall at a speed of five centimeters per second, creating a scene full of pink cherry blossoms.
