A Peaceful Visit to Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou 🇨🇳

Lingyin Temple is one of the most well known Buddhist temples located in Hangzhou, China. It has a history of over 1700 years and is nestled between a forest and mountain. Lingyin literally means ‘soul’s retreat’. 🎫 First buy a ticket to enter Feilei scenic area for 45rmb and then a separate ticket to enter Lingyin temple for 30rmb. As you enter the temple complex there is the Hall of Heavenly Kings directly infront of you. In here there are Buddha statues and the Kings standing fiercely on the sides. Continue to walk out of the back door and there are more halls going up the mountain. It’s so impressive to see hall after hall, and then amazed that there are more steps behind! At the very top, the last hall has the most impressive Buddha statues I’ve ever seen. It’s truly incredible. For me, this might be one of the best temples I’ve visited.
