Next to it is a very distinctive double-sided statue of a human being, one side facing the underworld and the other side looking at the human world, as if it can really help people send reincarnated children to the homes of those who are seeking children. There are also statues of wet nurses feeding babies on both sides, which is rarely seen in ancient colored sculptures. The image of them breastfeeding with bare breasts and smiling with teeth showing is really bold. There are two fierce gods on the outermost side, they are the Nine Heavens Birth Supervisors, who can avoid plague and protect children’s health. Jingxin Temple was originally a nunnery, and was later converted into a Buddhist temple, so some goddess statues are still preserved throughout the temple.
