Lingzu Village, Jinxin, Guangxi.

Lingzu Village is nestled between Tiantang Mountain (1,579m) to the west and Xiaoshiyun Mountain to the north. The village is divided into two parts by the valley formed by the junction of Xiaoshiyun Mountain and Tiantang Mountain: Dacun and Lingzu. Lingzu has a population of nearly 200, all of whom are from the Chashan Yao ethnic group. Historically, Lingzu Village has had its moments of glory. In 1952, the Yao Autonomous Region of Dayaoshan (county level, predecessor of Jinxin Yao Autonomous County) People's Government was established, with jurisdiction over Jinxin, Sanjiao, Lingzu, Luoxiang, Changtong, and Xinhe. The entire Lingzu District of the former Mengshan County (including Chetian, Lingzu, Pushui, Linxiu, Gaoyuan, Lili, Liugan, and Gupu) was incorporated into Jinxin County. It was not until later that Zhongliang Township was established and the government was relocated to present-day Zhongliang. In the 1970s, a film reflecting the suppression of bandits in Yaoshan, "Yaoshan Spring," was shot by Changchun Film Studio in Zhongliang Township. Many scenes in the film were shot in Lingzu Village. Today, if you look back at the film, you will find that the Yao village road in the film is still well preserved. Walking into Lingzu, you will be moved by the idyllic scenery. The houses are built on the hillside, and from the hillside to the valley are terraced fields built by the Yao people over hundreds of years. The fields are in front of the houses, and the valley and village can be seen in the distance. Everything is a sight to behold. The village is listed as a traditional Chinese village.
