SAMANTHA MEDINA

I really haven't been abroad! Yet everyone says I've gone to Nanyang

I never expected Quanzhou to hide such a beautiful place? I'm glad I didn't miss it! Jinjiang Wulin Traditional Village in Quanzhou is very far from the downtown area, much farther than Liupu Village, but its unique architectural style and the little Nyonya experience made my heart flutter, so I decided to take a taxi there. There is no admission fee for Jinjiang Wulin Traditional Village, and it's quite large inside. There's a distance from the parking lot to the core scenic area. Those with elderly and children might consider taking the scenic area's electric cart, while those who are physically fit can walk. We chose to ride, and the route in didn't feel too far, but on the way out, because we were tired, it felt very worthwhile. The architectural styles in the village are diverse and full of character, with the Ming Dynasty's Hundred Blessings Wall, the Qing Dynasty's official red brick mansions, and especially photogenic modern Gothic and Roman-style western buildings. Dressing up in little Nyonya attire here, I felt as if I had traveled to Nanyang in an instant, with a full sense of immersion~
