Nan Chi Lotus Clean, Li Du Travel Together

Jining Nan Chi, also known as Wangmu Pavilion Lake, was originally called "Ancient Nan Chi." It is the site of Nan Chi from the Kaiyuan and Tianbao periods of the Tang Dynasty and was a popular tourist destination during the prosperous Tang Dynasty. "Nan Chi Lotus Clean," one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Jining" in ancient times, refers to the beautiful scenery of Nan Chi under the state city. Li Bai and Du Fu, two great poets of the Tang Dynasty, have an inseparable connection with the city of Jining. In the 25th year of the Kaiyuan period, Li Bai and Du Fu, accompanied by Xu Zhulu, traveled together to Nan Chi, leaving behind a timeless story for Rencheng (Jining). Next to the statue of Li Bai and Du Fu traveling together to Nan Chi, there is a stone archway with a couplet engraved on it: Suspected to be the sound of the pool and the shadow of the lotus moving, How could one know the penmanship of the poet saint.
