A Journey to Mingzhao Temple for the Blooming Plum Blossoms

I made three trips to Mingzhao Temple just to see a plum blossom in full bloom. The first time, there were only a few buds. The second visit was on a snowy day, where I helped a mother and child take a photo in front of the plum blossoms. Today, on my third trip, the plum blossoms have finally bloomed! The fragrance is delightful, and bees are buzzing around. The courtyard also features white plum and wax plum blossoms. Mingzhao Temple, also known as Huian Temple or Zhijue Temple, is located 3 kilometers east of Wuyi County in Zhejiang Province, at the foot of Mingzhao Mountain. It was founded in the early years of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and is one of the earliest Buddhist temples in Zhejiang Province. With over 1600 years of history, Mingzhao Temple is renowned as the birthplace of Jinhua Wuxue. During the Southern Song Dynasty, famous Neo-Confucian scholars like Lü Zuqian, Zhu Xi, and Chen Liang lectured here, making it one of the most influential academies in the country. The temple is still under construction, and I'm eagerly anticipating its completion!
